Larsen Cognac embodies the idea that trying a new Cognac is about exploring and learning new things. That’s why they crafted the XO Réserve Cognac from Larsen, an incredible blend of 60 different eaux-de-vie with the youngest 10 years old, and the oldest between 20 and 30 years old. It has therefore been aged far longer than the average XO.
This Cognac is carefully crafted with grapes grown in the Fins Bois and Petite Champagne terroirs, and then aged in fine-grained sessile oak barrels sourced from the Tronçais forest. The ancient trees are relatively low in tannins, and the casks lightly toasted.
Faithful to its Norwegian founder, Jens Reidar Larsen, the Master Blender Mr. Robert Andrieux gives each Cognac a unique identity. He uses ancestral expertise handed down over generations, and has amassed over 25 years of experience moving between barrels and concocting magnificent blends. Ultimately, he aims to achieve a fruity, pure and elegant flavor with his Cognac.
The distillation process is very particular at Larsen Cognac. After double distilling the wines without lees, they aim to preserve the original fruitiness of the grapes. The most important part is the “coeur de la bonne chauffe,” the tiny part that is tried by the Master Blender and then transferred to oak barrels.

A family run concern, the story of Cognac Larsen dates back to 1926 when Jens Reidar Larsen made the move from his home country of Norway to France. Seduced by the quality of the brandy that came from the town of Cognac, he devoted much time and effort to become a connoisseur in the subject, and naturally progressed to owning and running his own Cognac house.
Today, Larsen Cognacs are as well known for their luxury packaging as the quality of their eaux-de-vie, with Limoges Porcelain and Baccarat Crystal featuring strongly with many of their premium Cognacs.
