Conte et Filles 3 ans Cognac
Growth area & soil: Petite Champagne
Conte et Filles 3 Ans
An intensely fruity Cognac, Conte et Filles 3 Ans offers a delightful tasting experience revealing delicate aromas of pear, peach, passionfruit and lime blossom. Produced in the Petite Champagne cru on a plot in Nonaville, it reaps the benefits of the chalky limestone soils found in this area of Cognac in its original form as a grape - and then prevails as an all-natural unchillfiltered Cognac with no added caramel or sugar.
Standing proud as a female-led Cognac brand in an industry predominantly fronted by men, Maison Conte et Filles is now in its 5th generation of family members to inherit the Cognac-making savoir-faire. Sisters Blandine and Anne-Laure present their passion for the world of agriculture through a new range of Cognacs alongside other grape-based wines and spirits.
Presentation of the bottle
Displayed in a modern cylinder-style decanter with a wide cork stopper, this bottle design’s label work makes it stand out from the rest. An illustration of the vines on the label reflects back to nature and the roots of how this Cognac came to be. Arriving with a matching presentation box, it serves as a delightful gift – and one that is easy on the senses, from the eye to your fingertips as they hold the smooth bottle in hand, through to the nose and then the palate as you embark on the tasting journey.
How to enjoy
As a relatively young Cognac boasting a fresh and fruity palate, not only can it be enjoyed neat on its own, but it also serves beautifully as the base spirit to many different cocktail recipes. So why not try mixing up a French Mule cocktail?
- 6 cl of Cognac Conte et Filles 3 years old
- 1.5cl lime juice
- 12 cl of ginger ale
- 1 slice of lime
Method: Combine the Cognac and lime juice in a cocktail shaker, pour ginger ale into a tall glass, and garnish with a slice of lime.
