Forgeron Barrique 2.1 Cognac is like all of Michel Forgeron's Cognacs – made up of prestigious Grande Champagne eaux-de-vie. Having spent almost 20 years aging in French oak barrels in the cellars of Domaine Michel Forgeron, it has been patiently reduced through the method of adding distilled water for an alcoholic degree of 47%. The result offers the perfect compromise between preservation of taste, aroma and power in the mouth. Presenting blissful nuances of iris, vanilla and okoumé essence, it is a full and floral Cognac with great depth and finesse on the palate.
Michel and Francine Forgeron have been passionately developing, since 1965, elegant, authentic products of exceptional quality. Today the Cognac house is anchored by its younger generations as Pierre and Christophe have taken the brand in the direction of modern and environmentally conscious standards, favoring the use of sustainable viticulture and renewable energy.

Michel Forgeron Cognac’s uniqueness lies in its very special history, its environmental concern and of course in its quest for quality. With a relatively young history, the first cognac under the brand Michel Forgeron was produced in 1977. Their philosophy remains the same as his grandfather’s, who bought the agricultural property at the turn of the century: work better, produce better. Recently, for its hundred year anniversary, Forgeron covered one of the estate’s roofs with solar panels in order to work with sustainable energies for the cognac production.
