Exemplaire N°4 is the fourth edition of Marancheville’s Exemplaire series which stands proud as a collection of Cognacs that symbolizes the brand’s passion for exceptional quality that stands in a league of its own. Offered in small quantities and renewed every year, “Les Exemplaires” are the fruit of our know-how and our inspirations.
Deriving from a blend of eaux-de-vie distilled on lees in the early 1980s on the Marancheville estate. N°4 endured a long maturation process (35 to 40 years); during this time, the aromas are slowly concentrated, and beautiful complexity emerges. In this Cognac in particular, the distinct nuance of candied orange is particularly present, which, combined with a woody structure, makes for a sensationally autumnal or festive delight.
A limited-edition Cognac that is made in small quantities and entirely with eaux-de-vie from the Grande Champagne, there are only 257 bottles of this delicious nectar available, making it a rare gem of the premier cru.

Aged to perfection, N°4 is classified as an XO quality Cognac, although some of its eaux-de-vie spent up to 40 years aging in French oak barrels. As a result, we recommend tasting this Cognac jewel the traditional way, neat and at room temperature. You may wish to add a few ice cubes to the glass to allow the aromas to open up even more.
