The Dobbé family have been producing high quality Cognacs since 1787 and across 10 generations of family ancestors. Upon acquiring a few acres of fields, the family began growing their own vines in the late 1700s. From there, they gradually expanded following each harvest, acquiring more and more land mostly across the Petite Champagne cru. Based in Salignac-sur-Charente, a small village near Cognac, the family have passed down hundreds of years worth of passion, tradition and expertise.
The house of Dobbé is credited for its strong values as a result of years nurturing the land and paying respect to the natural surroundings. With the family estate spanning across 35 hectares of land, two thirds of the Dobbé vineyards are situated over the sunny hills of the prestigious Petite Champagne cru. Whilst the remaining fields cover parts of the Fins Bois region. Reaping the benefits of the both cru’s, Dobbé Cognacs are characteristic of the smooth eaux-de-vie produced with grapes from Petite Champagne as well as the full-bodied and supple eaux-de-vie that come from the grapes of the Fins Bois region. Today, the new generation continues the family heritage, paying tribute to family traditions, while maintaining modern standards.
With products sold all around the world, Dobbé Cognac has an international footprint in several different countries. Although it is a small family-run business based in rural France, the brand values consumer feedback and strives to keep up to date with evolving international trends, year in, year out.
