The award-winning Armagnac Monluc XO Extra Carafe is a fine example of what outstanding Armagnac represents. Taking home a gold medal at the Concours Générale Agricole 2020, it has received deserved recognition for its excellence. This XO Extra underwent the maturation process in both old and new Limousin oak casks: for the first decade, the eaux-de-vie soaked up rich fruit notes from old casks and then spent a further 24 months in new casks, adding tannins and a clear scent of vanilla. The result is a refined Armagnac with unparalleled elegance and finesse; its strong and rich aromas are certainly representative of a well-aged blend. 

The house of Monluc offers an extensive variety of different products including the famous Pousse Rapière, traditional method sparkling wines, still wines or Armagnacs, Flocs and liqueurs. This brand is a wonderful starting point for those new to the world of Armagnac, as the range includes younger offerings as well as more mature blends and vintage Armagnacs.

Situated in the heart of Gascony, the area surrounding the Château de Monluc has been inhabited continuously since Neolithic times, with the castle evolving over centuries from the original wooden watchtower to the imposing walled mansion that it is today. Back in the 16th Century, the castle was home to Blaise de Monluc (1500 - 1577), a Gascon captain who distinguished himself during his long military career to obtain the office of Marshal of France at the age of 74, in gratitude for services rendered for no less than five different kings of France. These days, it is home to the fifth generation of Armagnac producers, expressing a passion rooted in terroir and history. With the ardour of a Gascon captain, here they aim to help people discover and appreciate the art of Armagnac for years to come.
