Описание
La Belle Epoque blended for the Modern Drinker - Courvoisier's homage to 20th-century cellar master Louis Renard
With Courvoisier's limited edition range, their current Master Blender Patrice Pinet pays homage to those craftsmen who came before him, a celebration of the House’s history and a tribute to the Cellar Masters who made it great. Courvoisier are renowned for telling a story with each and every Cognac they produce, and the Heritage Louis Renard Cognac is no exception.
The four total limited editions expressions offer collectors and connoisseurs the opportunity to experience something truly unique and purchase a piece of Courvoisier's rich history.
This exceptionally rare and limited edition contains Cognacs from Courvoisier's famed centuries-old "paradis" cellars, which houses some of the rarest and oldest eaux-de-vie in the world. Pinet has carefully selected the most treasured Cognacs in the collection, found hidden beneath the magnificent Courvoisier Château.
This particular blend uses eaux-de-vie first placed in casks over a hundred years ago by the first cellar master of the 20th century, Louis Renard. Created from Cognacs that date from 1869 to 1914, the core of the blend is an 1896 vintage that was chosen for it "balance, richness and depth", only 50 bottles of this blend have been produced, each presented in Baccarat crystal decanters.
Steeped in history, the Cognacs were distilled during Paris' Golden Age, and just like the works of Henri Matisse, every one of Renard's creations was a masterpiece. Both the Cognac and carafe exude optimism, exuberance, harmony and bliss, truly embodying the Belle Epoque era at a time when Paris was the center of culture and class. This Cognac is truly the epitome of luxury and a highly sought after collector's item for the most avid and discerning connoisseurs.
How to Enjoy:
With such a rare Cognac, it's no surprise we're recommending you sample this exquisite blend neat, preferably in a snifter. If you're enjoying this Cognac as a delightful digestif, make sure you cleanse your palate (perhaps with a sorbet course) to have the full sensory experience and distinguish each and every individual flavor and aroma. Serve at room temperature.
Presentation of the Bottle:
This limited edition carafe is equally as luxurious as its contents. The hand-crafted Baccarat crystal decanter has a classic design that could have easily been found in any Victorian noble’s drinks cabinet.
The stunning crystal glass stopper opens like a diamond flower, adding a sense of occasion every time you open it to pour yourself a glass of this historic and legendary Cognac.
Courvoisier also provide a wooden case that features a key and lock, an elegant touch to protect your little piece of history, a homage to the heritage of this historic house.
О Courvoisier Cognac
Courvoisier is amongst the four leading Cognac houses in the world - also known as the 'Big Four'. Legend has it that the emperor Napoléon himself chose Courvoisier as his preferred Cognac, therefore Courvoisier brandy is often referred to as “The Cognac of Napoleon”. The company dates back to 1828 and since has its headquarters in the town of Jarnac. With prestigious bottles such as Courvoisier Napoléon or Josephine, the Cognac house is at the top of the luxury spirits market. The Courvoisier VS, VSOP, and Rose Liqueur are also very popular. The drink is strongly ingrained in US Hip Hop culture with Busta Rhymes and P Diddy dedicating the song “Pass the Courvoisier” to the traditional brand.
