Spice, Oak and Structure
This Cognac shows a deep copper color gradually shifting into warm amber tones. The intensity is above average, while the clarity remains perfectly clean. Medium viscosity forms slow, elegant legs in the glass, suggesting a structured spirit. The nose opens with moderate intensity and a notice...
Light and sweet
- Nose: Light, sweet, slightly apricot scent. - Taste: Very light and easy; increasing sweetnes with every sip. Very mild fruity flavour with the slightest hint of almond. Reminds of arrak. Very unpreposessing. - Finish: This is the weakest point - a short, rather bland finish. The arrak note...
Out of this world!
We tried this bottle at our whisky tasting session, and it was a real treat! The aroma is lovely, and when you taste it, you'll immediately realise that this is something special. It's tricky for me to put into words how the flavours all blend together to make this amazing, multi-layered taste se...
Simple and honest
A simple product, without excessive depth but honest. Lacking the depth that comes from excessive blending, but at the same time more recognisable. You can taste the Champagne. A good product to start your adventure in cognac. Original review: Un prodotto semplice, senza eccessiva profon...
Fruit-driven elegance with honeyed softness
D’eaux XO shows a beautiful amber colour with golden reflections. The clarity is high and the viscosity is rather light, suggesting an elegant and refined texture. On the nose, the intensity is above medium and the profile is clean and expressive. The aromatic structure is strongly fruit-dri...
Excellent Cognac
Very excellent cognac! It is on the dry side, and definitely more delicate than what I am used to. On the nose I smell flowers and stone fruit. After letting it sit for 10 minutes, I smell honey. Not much oak on the nose. On the palette I taste fruit immediately, but not overpowering at all. I th...
I love this one
I bought many Cognac in my life expensive one also and this one was really make good impression on me. First I was thinking Bons Bois is maybe more simple, but this bottle is not like this at all. It has very strong personality. When opened, the smell is very rich and deep. I not get only swee...
Long Finish
On the nose I smell liquorice, vanilla, and candied fruits. I tiny bit of floral as well. On the palette it’s nice and complex, and then if transitions into a very long finish. Lots of warmth on the finish from spice instead of alcohol. Overall a nice experience.
Smooth Spice
Very balanced VSOP, with such a smooth spice and long finish. On the nose I can definitely smell cinnamon and a small dose of caramel. On the palette I immediately taste fresh fruit and then it transitions to spice. Some oak but not too much. Overall very impressed.
Spice and Oak
I absolutely love the bottle design, but the cognac itself isn't my favorite. I know it's very popular, however my personal preference is for Cognacs with less spice. On the nose it is very pleasant, however, with notes of cinnamon and oak. After letting it sit for 10 minutes and coming back to s...
