This is a superb cognac for this price range and alcohol level. Most prominent aromas are cacao, caramel, wood, spices, and chocolate, but you also get fruitiness like figs (a very distant note of fig brandy aged for many years that we make here in Bulgaria) and raisins.
This is a great cognac for lovers of dark woody rancio cognacs and cask-strength sherry scotches, particularly first-fill sherry bottles.
With water, I get more old wood, nuttiness and dark fruit notes.
