Right after opening sweet scent of fruits - apricots, prunes and peaches. The traditional aroma of quality X.O. - the grape ripened under the sun. No smell of ethanol spirit is presented, the alcohol is naturally integrated within the cognac aroma itself. The recognizable quality trademark of Chateau de Montifaud cognacs.
Honey and apples with floral notes are presented then the cognac is in the glass for 7-10 minutes. The bitter chocolate and cocoa notes on the backscene are opening after 10-15 minutes.
The first sip gives you the aromatic blast of sweet floral summer notes - honey, flowers, apples, etc. Then swallowed you can easily recognize the taste of ripened peaches when eaten. The palate is very mellow, round and full-bodied. When drinking the mouth is full of aromatic filling and the same filling is left then swallowed.
