The Fruit-Bomb Napoleon Cognac With No Scent of Alcohol - The Real Deal
First time ever that the cognac does not have any scent of alcohol. First aroma right after opening is sweet dried fruits - apricots and dried plums or prunes. Neither my four friends nor I could smell any alcohol at all.
After sitting around 7-10 minutes in glass aromas of candied dried fruits are opening, some slight licorice scent on the back.
After 15-17 minutes, the aromas of rum-cognac fruit cakes and sweet cherry bark are opening. Fresh apple scent on the backscene.
First sip is very smooth, the palate is distinct taste of dried fruits - prunes or plums, some cherry bark aroma after swallowing. Sweet fruity taste with indistinct notes of licorice somewhere on the back. Very smooth mellow and round fruit taste. Long and light aftertaste of dried candied fruits. The feel is that you drink the dried fruit punch not the cognac. Very unique taste. Never tasted the cognac like this before.
