Description

Prince Hubert de Polignac Reserve du Prince Cognac: a Royal Selection

The exceptional Prince Hubert de Polignac Reserve du Prince Cognac has been created only from the very best eaux-de-vie sourced from the Grande Champagne region. Some of the cognacs included in this Premier Cru blend are over a century old, selected by the Cellar Master for their remarkable fragrances. As one would expect from such a creation, the nose, palate, and aftertaste are complex and elegant - this is a Cognac that you truly need time to sip and savour.

Prince de Polignac Cognac is named after one of France's oldest noble families, members of which include Cardinal De Polignac (French ambassador in Poland and Rome in the 17th century), Countess Yolande de Polignac - a personal friend of Marie Antoinette - and Prince Jules de Polignac, a cabinet minister under Charles X. It was their descendant, Prince Hubert de Polignac, who eventually allowed the Cognac producer Mounier to use his name for one of their bottlings in 1947. After the trademark was registered, the Prince himself took to travelling the world to promote the brand, sealing its association with royalty, adventure and luxury.

Presentation of the Bottle

Presented in a hand-made Sèvres crystal decanter, the packaging perfectly reflects the craftsmanship of the rare nectar within. The flared base and gentle curves of the crystal almost resembles a full skirt in full swing, lively and graceful, leading to a neck decorated with gold cord and an oversized crystal stopper. Of course, such a bottle deserves a stunning presentation box: this one is black with a gold lining, opening in the middle to slowly reveal the contents.

Sit back and relax; this is a slow sipper, perfect to end a meal or a long day. Gently let the Cognac breathe in a tulip glass before taking a sip, tasting the complex result of time and dedication.
