Description
Gourry de Chadeville Réserve Familiale Cognac
A top choice of Cognac from the Gourry de Chadeville, this is a drink containing some of the finest Eaux-de-vies that the Cognac region has to offer. Born from the very oldest part of the basement, known as Paradise, the special place that this Cognac takes you to is evident in the house it came from. The oldest on offer, this is a fine choice that every Cognac connoisseur will want to get their hands on.
Gourry de Chadeville, is family owned and based in the highly renowned Grande Champagne region. Impressively dating back to 1619, it is one of the oldest Cognac houses available. Containing Eaux-de-vie produced on the same principle as Chevalier de la Croix-Brown, who is said to be the inventor of the double distillation, there is monumental history within each and every bottle. Aged exclusively with casks of Limousin oak, considered to be the best in the Cognac, the reduction of the Brandy is prepared for 12 months, compared to the typical 6 that many other houses optimise. Enhanced using both old and new blends, the intense and nuanced flavor for which Chadeville is recognized creates undeniable excellence.

How to enjoy
Due to its age-old process or production and complex blend of Eaux-de-vie, this is a choice for a Cognac connoisseur to enjoy solo. Place on ice to bring out the flavour and enjoy as a post-dinner tipple, or as a sophisticated night-cap. Perfect for special occasions, or as a gift of the highest elegance.

Rancio Prime
This is an exceptional cognac and easily a new favorite. I feel like this is how cognac should taste - not overwhelmingly sweet. Just a deep, deep rancio that tastes of the cellar and the soil, and quietly insists,“Earth is the most important of the four elements.”
The taste of old cognac
The first sip of the cognac, which I bought back in wine colour and opened on a happy evening by myself, showed a strong woody aroma, not much change, similar to the taste of old cognacs I had before. Thanks to the Cognac Expert for the recommendation!
