An opulent and intense XO Cognac made with Fine Champagne eaux-de-vie
Made in the image of Roland Bru, its creator, at the time of production - the Roland Bru XO Extra Old is luxurious and intense. This Extra Old Cognac has been aged for a minimum of 10 years in French oak barrels, composed largely of Cognac eaux-de-vie from the famous Grande and Petite Champagne and presented in a gorgeous decanter.
These two crus are particularly celebrated for producing exceptional Cognacs, thanks to the high chalk content in their soil, optimal sunlight exposure and maritime climate that makes it perfect for growing vines and producing wonderful eaux-de-vie.
Matured patiently, these precious eaux-de-vie have reached optimum maturity to be carefully assembled to perfection. The result is a delicate bouquet of pastry and sweet spices. The final is exceptionally long, revealing a harmonious rancio typical of very old Cognacs.
Acquiring the property in 1955, Roland Bru began producing Cognac at the estate in Sireuil, located near the Charente River. The Cognac Maisons owns 20 hectares of vineyards in the Grande Champagne, and 40 hectares in the Fins Bois. They also work in partnership with local wine growers.
Run for three generations by the Bru family, the Moisins Distillery has been a site of magic for many years. He decided that to make the best Cognacs, he would have to be quite patient, and so he stored away some of his oldest and finest Cognacs to leave them to age even longer.
