Description
Mauxion Lot 85 Pineau des Charentes
The Mauxion Lot 85 Pineau des Charentes is a rare gem crafted by a family of winemakers from Grande Champagne, who have been rooted in the region for generations. Produced in 1985 and aged for an impressive 40 years in 132-gallon oak barrels, this Pineau is an extraordinary expression of history, patience, and tradition.
This special reserve was created using eaux-de-vie from 1984, blended with fresh grape juice from 1985, resulting in a Pineau of exceptional depth and character. The nose reveals rich and inviting aromas of candied fruits, almonds, and assorted nuts, enhanced by a rancio note that evokes the finest Ports. On the palate, its silky texture and suave structure offer a perfect balance between richness and freshness, delivering flavors of rare complexity that linger with extraordinary length.

About Mauxion Selection Cognac
The origin of the Mauxion family dates back to 1575 when Pierre Mauxion was born in the village of Houlette. Today the estate is still home to the Mauxion family after thirteen generations. Antoine Mauxion was the first of the family to produce eaux-de-vie, back in 1743, and since then ten generations have followed in his footsteps. Today the house of Mauxion Selection continues to embrace original traditions with regards to caring for the vineyard and producing high class, quality eaux-de-vie.
Uniquely, Mauxion Selection offers a range of single cru expressions, available a range of sizes. All cognacs produced by Mauxion Selection come from the 6 prestigious terroirs of Grande Champagne, Petite Champagne, Borderies, Fins Bois, Bons Bois and Bois Ordinaires. To preserve the flavor of their eaux-de-vie, Mauxion Selection Cognac is bottled at cask strength without any blending or reduction; allowing the eaux-de-vie to develop with exceptional complexity and depth. Whilst the attentive selection process may mean that quantity is limited, it ensures a Cognac of unrivalled quality, every time.
