Description

Giboin Pineau des Charentes Rouge

A fine Merlot, with expert processing involving eraflage of the grapes, then maceration of the berries. Followed by ageing on lees for two years, then ageing in demi-muids (660L) without the lees. A fine-tuned process to produce a delectable Rouge with unwavering sophistication.

With the Giboin House boasting 2 hectares of merlot at the L’Hermitage Vineyard and 200 years experience in crafting fine beverages, this is an expert choice. Embodying everything a good Merlot should to the highest standard, you can’t go wrong with the Giboin Pineau des Charentes Rouge.

Presentation of the bottle

A truly traditional Merlot, this bottle is understated, yet effortlessly sophisticated. The beautiful display of red, mahogany and gold colouring compliments its contents favourably. Stamped with the renowned Giboin branding, it’s expertise is evident from the first glance.

How to enjoy

Perfect to enjoy as an embodied Apéritif that will satisfy your sweet cravings, whilst simultaneously leaving you wanting more.

About Giboin Cognac

Giboin is an expert producer of both Cognac and Pineau de Charentes, with 60 acres (24 hectars) of vineyards in both the Borderies and Fins Bois Cognac growing areas of the Charente. This family run, traditional brand has a history stretching back to the early part of the nineteenth century, and exclusively produces a very limited amount of Cognac per year. Using predominantly Ugni Blanc grapes, but Merlot too, Giboin strives to remain committed to the methods used by the family’s founders, and for a small house curates a surprisingly versatile and wide range of Cognac and Pineau products.
