Tasting review

Tasting review from Gautier:  Powerful, generous flavours of candied fruit, honey, and walnut. Round and full-bodied on the palate with an extraordinarily complex body of aromas. Long and lingering with an exceptional finish.

Description

Gautier Panatela is a Pineau des Charente.  A wonderful blend of pressed grape juice, with each having been aged for a minimum of 5 years.  Its extraordinarily complex, with genorous flavors of candied fruit, honey, and walnut.

Each bottle is individually numbered. This medal winning pineau pairs well with your favorite cigar.  But you don't need to be a smoker to enjoy it's vibrant joviality.  Perfect as an aperitif, or with foie gras.  Or, for the chocoholics among you, it goes perfectly with any chocolate dessert.

My favorite Brand

I had my first taste of this several years ago at a restaurant in Texas and have been in love with it ever since. It's about time for me to order some more bottles. It is my favorite.

About Gautier Cognac

Gautier Cognac is amongst the oldest cognac houses, with a very unique location. Gautier is based in Aigre on the Osme river, and ages in an 18th century water mill. Aigre is also referred to as the "Little Venice" of Charente. The proximity to the water and the resulting humidity and temperature in the cellars gives the cognac a recognizable taste. This cognac house unites ancient history with a modern view on the cognac market. It caters both professional cognac connoisseurs and aficionados as well as younger consumers that like to experiment with cognac and try out new and trendy cocktails.
