Description
Estève Pineau Très Vieux Rosé
Originally from the Charentes, Estève Pineau Très Vieux Rosé has been produced mainly with grapes of the Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc varieties. Blended with eaux-de-vie sourced from the Petite Champagne region, the result is a rich expression characterized by sweet floral notes and a soft fruity character.
Only Pineau that has been matured in oak casks for over ten years can be labelled with the ‘Très Vieux’ classification; at this age, expect complex aromas, rich tannins and a long finish. Rare and elegant, this Rosé Pineau is a delightful way to enjoy a time-honored traditional drink unique to the Cognac region. The nose offers just an initial treat of what is to come: a mélange of fruits take the taster on a sensory journey of discovery, concluding in a fantastic finish that just leaves you wanting more.
Presentation of the Bottle
The Estève Pineau Très Vieux Rosé comes in a tall, straight bottle, a classic style that was originally popular in the 19th century. The deep-red label has been decorated with gold details, including the Estève emblem.
How to Enjoy Estève Pineau Très Vieux Rosé
This deep rose-colored Pineau is best served chilled or over ice as an aperitif, with slices of melon or a chocolate cake. It's also a great drink to accompany more powerful desserts such as strong cheeses. Whichever way you enjoy it, this is a wonderful manner in which to explore the flavors of the Petite Champagne terroir.
