Tasting review

Color : sumptuous cherry red colour with copper reflections.

Taste : strong, smooth body, impressive fruity length with chocolate notes at the finish.

Description

The strong taste of Drouet & Fils Mathilde Pineau Rose Vintage 2014 make this a wonderful choice if you've never tried a pineau before.  The fruitiness of the blend intensifies into a melange of red fruits - think blackberries, cherries, and blackcurrants.
Perfect as an accompaniment to a strong chocolate dessert, it also makes a refreshingly different aperitif - try it over ice or chilled in the freezer for 20 minutes or so before serving.
