An exceptional pineau, composed of 100% Merlot Blanc, the Domaine du Chêne "La Vigne de Mon Grand-Père" White Pineau is produced from a rare grape variety in the Charente region. Its name comes from vineyards planted by the grandfather of Jean-Marie Baillif. Vines that are now over 80 years old! Boasting pleasant aromatic persistence, it is a selection that harmonizes sweet and spice expertly. Perfectly suited to all Cognac lovers that enjoy rich and rounded selections.
Produced by a house with a history dating back to 1865, the Domaine du Chêne "La Vigne de Mon Grand-Père" White Pineau is a prodcut of the Charente Maritime in the Nouvelle Aquitaine region. Each Domaine du Chêne creation is rooted in quality and authenticity, which is evident by its rich sense of rancio in each selection. Innovating its already rich grape varieties, the house is impressively harmonizing its history with a modern flair. About Domaine du Chêne
Located at the heart of the Romanesque Saintonge province is Domaine du Chêne, which has remained a family estate for several generations since Jean-Baptiste Doussoux bought his first still in 1865.
The vineyard now covers 80 hectares growing several different grapes, including rare and old varieties like the Folle Blanche, among other classic varieties such as the Ugni Blanc.
The vineyards themselves are over 80 years old and today produce a range of bespoke products including their "Domaine du Chêne" range and Cognac "Jean Doussoux".
