Eye: This white pineau reveals a golden yellow dress with golden highlights.

Nose: The nose is open, rich and fruity. It opens with floral, fruity and woody notes tinged with sweet spices like cinnamon. It has an almost oriental style, while maintaining a freshness and elegance that reveals its atypical side.

Palate: The palate is round, finely wooded and greedy. It opens with notes of white-fleshed fruit, such as flat peach and floral touches. Hints of sweet cinnamon spice adorn the woody look on the finish. The palate is fresh, complex, subtly woody and reveals a very pleasant aromatic persistence.

Description

Domaine du Chêne "La Vigne de Mon Grand-Père" White Pineau

An exceptional pineau, composed of 100% Merlot Blanc, the Domaine du Chêne "La Vigne de Mon Grand-Père" White Pineau is produced from a rare grape variety in the Charente region. Its name comes from vineyards planted by the grandfather of Jean-Marie Baillif. Vines that are now over 80 years old! Boasting pleasant aromatic persistence, it is a selection that harmonizes sweet and spice expertly. Perfectly suited to all Cognac lovers that enjoy rich and rounded selections.

Produced by a house with a history dating back to 1865, the Domaine du Chêne "La Vigne de Mon Grand-Père" White Pineau is a prodcut of the Charente Maritime in the Nouvelle Aquitaine region. Each Domaine du Chêne creation is rooted in quality and authenticity, which is evident by its rich sense of rancio in each selection. Innovating its already rich grape varieties, the house is impressively harmonizing its history with a modern flair. An excellent example of that process, this Pineau is the embodiment of classic Cognac’s, with a rare and unique edge.

Presentation of the bottle

An effortless display, typical of the Domaine du Chêne house, this bottle boasts simple sophistication. Its clean white label is beautifully complemented by copper tones that complement the golden hue of the liquid. The bottle itself is a traditional shape, with a wooden top to immediately allude to the rare age of this Cognac. An understated display that you are going to want to showcase.

How to enjoy

A wonderful selection to serve at a dinner party. Pair with feared foie gras, honey butternut tatin, Java pepper.
