Description
Domaine de la Chauvilliere Old White Pineau
Pineau des Charentes Old White Cognac Domaine de la Chauvilliere is as the name suggests a well-aged white Pineau that has been aged for a minimum of 5 years in oak barrels. Far from the enormous volumes of the trade, the family of craftsmen that run this artisan business know-how to preserve the identity of their pineau thanks to a real savoir-faire passed on through generations.
Located in the Cognac Bons Bois region in the town of Sablonceaux in Charente-Maritime, the Hauselmann family have been producing Cognac and Pineau des Charentes since 1950. All of the manufacturing steps take place on the estate, from the vine to the bottle and welcomes guests to its tasting cellars every day except Sundays.
Presentation of the bottle
Dressed in an elegantly classic style bottle, this very old Pineau des Charentes is sure to stand with sophistication amongst others in a collection. The bottle features black and gold foilage on the neck and label work which offers a contemporary twist to an otherwise rather mature product.
How to enjoy
To appreciate this well-aged gem of a Pineau in its entirety, we suggest drinking it on the rocks or at room temperature. Pair with a cheese platter as an aperitif or following a delicious meal for twice the pleasure.
