Vaudon Double Cask Fins Bois Cognac is a Fins Bois blend of excellent quality. Selected exclusively from the Fins Bois, famous for its mineral-rich soils ideal for the growth of Ugni-Blanc grapes used to produce quality Cognac, the eau-de-vie of this well-aged presents unique flavours. Having aged for ten years in Limousin oak wooden barrels, Vaudon Double Cask Fins Bois Cognac was finished in “new American oak” barrels during its last leg of the aging process. A sweet and fruity Cognac, it reveals delicate notes of toasted coconut, creme brulee, tatin pie and bourbon on the nose before proceeding to nuances of vanilla, cooked banana and white fruits.
It represents a true combination of local artisnal talent alongside the interesting typicity from the American oak that releases such a unique patchwork of flavors. Maison Vaudon is run by Pierre Vaudon, who heads the renowned Cognac house, Francois Voyer. Therefore it is safe to say both brands are symbolic of sheer dedication to Cognac. Pierre demonstrates his passion, know-how and expertise through products of unrivalled quality and a family history of distillation that dates back to 1771.

Het domein van Vaudon beslaat 60 hectare, waarvan het belangrijkste gelegen is in Fins Bois, de grootste van alle Cognac regio's. Vaudon produceert zowel single cru Fins Bois Cognacs als 'multicru' blends van deze met de naburige Grande Champagne.
Pierre Vaudon, Maître de Chai en tevens eigenaar van Maison Francois Voyer, is verantwoordelijk voor het domein van de familie Vaudon. De familie distilleert al sinds 1771 en heeft altijd uitstekende Cognacs geproduceerd. In 1913 won de familie zelfs een gouden medaille voor haar Cognac van 1811.
