Château de Beaulon Cognac Grand XO: Crafted with Folle Blanche, Colombard and Montils Grapes
A superb Cognac aged for two decades, the Chateau de Beaulon Grand XO 20 Ans d’Age is an award-winning work of art. The chalky hills where their grapes are grown provide some of the finest conditions for making exceptional eaux-de-vie.
What sets the Chateau de Beaulon apart from other producers is their choice of using traditional grape varieties such as Folle Blanche, Colombard and Montils, instead of the usual Ugni Blanc. They are particularly delicate to grow, but unrivaled in taste and aroma.
Distilled over light lees in small copper pot stills, their Cognac is later aged in Limousin or Tronçais oak barrels in their Lorignac cellars - usually, two or three times longer than is legally required. Hence why their Grand XO is aged for 20 years, instead of the 10 years minimum.
The blackened walls of the cellar provide a particular humidity that is optimum for aging Cognac. Chateau de Beaulon also received the Prize for environmental excellence from ARIA Poitou-Charentes in 2009, for their sustainable fertilization methods.

Over Chateau de Beaulon Cognac
The beautiful façade and setting of the Chateau de Beaulon Cognac estate is a fitting setting for producing fine cognac. The chateau itself dates back to the year 1480, with it entering into the hands of the Beaulon family in 1510. The family name remains the same to this day, although it is now run by the very capable Christian Thomas. Chateau de Beaulon Cognac has always been, and continues to be, created purely from the fruits of a single vineyard, and is recognized around the world as being a highly desirable, artisan produced cognac.
