A Cognac distilled from 1988, Vintage 1998 Cognac Raymond Ragnaud is produced from a harvest composed exclusively of Grande Champagne Cognac from the Premier Cru of Cognac. A lengthy aging process in French oak barrels characterizes this Cognac as a well matured single blend of some of the finest eaux-de-vie available.
The Ragnuad family has been distilling Cognac since 1860 but didn’t adopt the brand name until 1941 when the 3rd generation owner first bottled in inherited eaux-de-vie under his name: Raymond Ragnaud. Spread across 47 hectares, the family estate mostly produces Ugni Blanc grapes, with a small part of the vineyards growing the more rare grape variety of Folle Blanche. Over the years, the artisanal craftsmanship, skills and hard work have transcended with time, as with each new generation of the family comes new innovations and top quality Cognac products.
Displayed in a simple decanter, finished with a cork stopper and minimal presentation box, the presentation of this Cognac embodies elegance from the inside out.
