Omschrijving
The Prunier Vintage 1987 Petite Champagne Cognac is a fresh and fruity eaux-de-vie with a natural smoothness containing delicate aromas of red berries as well as lilac and white flowers. On the palate, notes of wax and wood prevail which contrast blissfully against hints of liquorice and vanilla. This vintage 1987 is a beautiful and rare vintage Cognac, as it comes from a small harvest and boasts high strength despite its age. Traditionally, the locals of Cognac drank their eaux-de-vie directly from the casks in their cellars. In honour of tradition, Prunier has been offering old Cognacs like the vintage 1987, directly from the cask, at natural strength for more than 20 years now. This usually means that only three or four hundred bottles can be produced per vintage year - making each and every one even more special as they prove are rare to come by.
Over eleven generations, the House of Prunier, stands as one of the oldest Cognac houses in the prestigious Cognac region and has learnt how to keep its own history alive together with its identity and esteem for its products. Without forgetting the past the house of Prunier continues without respite in striving to offer the best quality products. Through their passion for the craft, each member of the family has maintained the motto: quality and respect of local traditions. Contained inside each and every bottle rests the history and hard-work of the Prunier family heritage.
Presentation of the bottle
Slender and sleek, the Prunier Vintage 1987 Petite Champagne bottle design is as luxurious as the Cognac it houses. It's pretty golden and orange hue colouring embodies the rich flavourings and exceptional quality that is contained inside the bottle. The classic and timeless design of the decanter means it would sit nicely alongside others in your collection.
How to enjoy
Having found its alcohol content naturally over time, this vintage Cognac contains unparalleled elegance and infinite depth that should be enjoyed one sip at a time. Drink neat from a tulip glass, as the narrow top of this type of glass will delicately distribute the arrival of aromas during the tasting.

Good cognac worth collecting
A few years ago, I collected a bottle of Prunier Vintage 1988 Grande champagne cognac. When I saw that there was a preferential price in the Cognac specialist store, I bought a bottle of Prunier Vintage 1987 Petite Champagne Cognac. I don't have to think about it. I must collect it first, and find...
Over Prunier Cognac
