Omschrijving
Hors d'Age Borderies Cognac aged 25-30 years
The oldest in the range from this small artisanal Cognac house is the Ordonneau Vieille Réserve Cognac. A true Borderies treasure, Ordonneau source all of their eaux-de-vie from the smallest cru of the region. A large number of the eaux-de-vie in this blend are aged between 25 and 30 years, making it an Hors d’Age quality blend. Offering great value for money, it is a mature Cognac with incredible versatility.
The Ordonneau Vieille Reserve is produced by the third generation of wine producers from this artisan house. Their property is made up of 27 hectares of vineyard, and each year they around 3000 hectoliters of wine. The wine then goes on to be distilled on their property in two Charentais alembic stills between the months of November and March.
The Borderies terroir is renowned for producing eaux-de-vie with very specific and rare aromas. The high clay content of the soil gives a full-bodied Cognac with characteristics of violet and dried fruit. They are indeed highly sought after. A deep golden color as you'd expect from an aged blend, this is a bottle that any Cognac lover will be happy to have in their cabinet.
Presentation
Ordonneau Tres Vieille Reserve is presented in a traditional style cognac bottle with a simple, classic label.

Excellent Value
For the price and the smooth fruit notes that this contains, it is hand's down one of the better bottles of Cognac I've purchased. Comparing it to the Bache Gabrielsen Hors d'Age I spent $200 on overseas, this bottle at $91 gives you that same taste and finish in my opinion, for a lot less.
A unique flavour
At dinner with friends over roast chicken, I opened a bottle of this wine and felt a very special, ethereal aroma that is rarely found in China. After taking a sip, there were also notes of dried fruit and flowers, similar to what the nose smells, a very special sensation, very simple, clear and...
Over Ordonneau Cognac

This small, family producer is housed in a typical Charantais estate known as Domaine de la Grolette, with vineyards covering 27 hectares. They harvest around 3,000 hectolitres of wine on an annual basis, and every aspect of the production process takes place in and around the family estate.
