Pasquet Confluences

Pasquet Confluences Editions

The family-run and organic house of Pasquet presents us with new releases, which are micro-blends of Cognacs which are exquisite in their own right, but magnificent when combined. Each component in these latest blends was created by a different exceptional producer, and so these bottles signify not only a marriage of eaux-de-vie but also of the talented characters who created them.

Following the great success of the L’Esprit de Famille series, which has been met with great popularity around the world, Amy and Jean-Luc Pasquet now present a masterful blend of the Confluences Cognacs. Ever since Jean laid eyes on the barrels holding the eaux-de-vie that would become the L'Esprit de Famille range, it has been his desire to make a blend out of these mature and harmonious Cognacs. The time for their blending and release has finally arrived. Here are the latest Pasquet Confluences editions.

Pasquet Très Vieille Petite Champagne

This intriguing Cognac came to be as Jean-Luc Pasquet felt a calling to return to his roots as a blender. Although the House has been successfully discovering and releasing exceptional barrels for its L’Esprit de Famille line, Jean-Luc found that each time he tasted a new eaux-de-vie from these barrels his curiosity would imagine what beauty could come as a result of their blending. And so, Jean-Luc Pasquet decided to keep some aside from each of these barrels to experiment mixing with, and voila, his imagination became reality with this splendid Très Vieille Cognac.

All three of the Cognacs used in the blend are made from eaux-de-vie solely from the region of Petite Champagne and whilst each is individually stunning on its own, the relationship between them when combined is a symbiotic one of utter excellence.

Those who have a penchant for higher proof Cognacs will revel in this offering, as it comes in at 44.3% ABV and is satisfyingly dry on the palate. This bottle is a rare and truly special offering, we recommend being quick to purchase it so as to ensure you can experience the captivating beauty of this harmonious blend.

Pasquet d’Eraville Grande Champagne

One of the Cognacs used in the blend is Jean-Luc Pasquet’s own, with the other two coming from a producer called Jean Biais and an organic agriculturalist producer by the name of Chantal Hillairet. The historic village of Eraville, of which this Cognac bears the name, is located within the premier cru of Grande Champagne. All of the eaux-de-vie in this blend is from this sought-after region and it is also where the Pasquet Domaine resides.

Pasquet’s d’Eraville Grande Champagne Cognac is produced from 100% Ugni Blanc grapes and is delightfully fruity with distinctive notes of citrus, peaches, raisins and roasted pears all interacting elegantly together on the palate. Only a few bottles of this spectacular ode to the local producers of the village of Eraville are available, and we imagine that they will be snapped up without hesitation as the talented work of Jean-Luc Pasquet never stays on the shelf for long.
