At the opening - scent of bitter almond, dried fruits, lime and notes of Irish coffee on the back.
No ethanol spirit smell.
Alcohol is integrated into the cognac aroma.
In The Glass:
First 5-7 minutes scent of fermented apples and lime.
Next 10-15 minutes scents of oranges, peaches, candied fruits and fresh figs are opening and added up to the cognac aroma's bouquet. Some vanilla and floral notes are on the backscene.
The cognac aroma is light and more inherent for young VSOP cognacs, rather than for X.O. cognacs.
First sip - light aromatic fermented apples and floral notes.
Next Sips, Roll Over and Swallow - ripened aromatic peaches with light spices and fresh apple notes. Warming spices when swallowed.
Palate is very mellow and light, aromatic and relaxing.
Aftertaste is somewhat middle 7-10 minutes with peaches, fermented apples, light spices and raisins notes.
The cognac is good X.O. middleman with light aromatic cognac taste more inherent to VSOP, but with no color additives or taste improvers. Good neutral cognac, appropriate as an aperitif or a digestive.
