When I showed this bottle of cognac to the Martell representative in Greater China, he was amazed that she hadn't seen anything like it from their company.
We opened the bottle of cognac together to try it on a cold evening. Opening the cap, the nose first caught a strong aroma of aged walnuts and almonds, poured out a golden-copper liquid, and then emerged aromas of chocolate and candied fruits, a very pleasant sensation.
After everyone had taken a sip of the cognac, the palate was powerful and well-structured, with crisp notes of dates, figs and cassis. A very full-bodied, good cognac.
The liquor is very persistent on the finish from the tongue, mouth and after the throat.
