Omschrijving
Couprie Hors d'Age Cognac
Cognac Couprie Hors d'Age Cognac is a rich, expertly blended Cognac that's been distilled in a traditional generations-old 10 hectolitre pot still. It was then aged in Limousin oak barrels in the calm, dark and humid cellars of Maison Couprie. Epitomising the expertise and dedication of several generations of family ancestors, Couprie Hors d’Age reflects the best possible use of oak, which is represented through the Cognac's beautiful mahogany color and an intense rancio aromatics.
The Folle Blanche grapes used to create this Hors d'Age give the Cognac a bold and unusual character. A true Premier cru delight revealing prominent notes of leather and cigar-box, aromas which are typical of fine, old Cognacs.
The house of Couprie is run by a family of vine-growers that have been based in the Grande Champagne area of Cognac since 1730. Putting both their passion and skills to good use, this Cognac house maintains centuries of family tradition by distilling their own wine from start to finish - all in the quest of producing fine, flavourful and elegant Cognac purely all for the enjoyment of Cognac connoisseurs.
Presentation of the bottle

How to enjoy
Best appreciated as a digestive at the end of a meal. Savour its complex flavors as they develop deliciously and linger delicately on the palate. There should be no distractions when tasting a Cognac of such fine quality, and so it is best appreciated neat or on the rocks.
Over Couprie Cognac
When Pierre Couprie received the distillation permit in 1750, he introduced a long history for the Couprie family. Their estate in Ambleville in the Grande Champagne has been the home to the cognac house sine generations. Like many smaller producers, Couprie Cognac uses only its own wine production to ensure and control the highest quality of their eaux-de-vie. Courpie also produces Pineau des Charentes and liqueurs to broaden their product range.
