Description
Raymond Ragnaud Folle Blanche 2002
The Raymond Ragnaud Folle Blanche 2002 is an exceptional Cognac with one foot in the past and the other planted firmly in the present. A crop from 2002, the Folle Blanche is an elegant Cognac that is fine and fragrant, with favorable rarity. Exceptionally unique, the uncommon grape variety offers exquisite, sensitive and profoundly perfumed Cognacs.
In the mid 19th century, the phylloxera virus spread through the Cognac vineyards, killing the majority of the vines. Up until this destruction, the Folle Blanche grape dominated the majority of vines. Post-disaster, planting the Ugni Blanc grape offered a hardier solution and it is still the main grape grown today. An insight into the taste of the vines pre-disaster, the Folle Blanche 2002 is a rare and distinctive Cognac that is delightfully delicate.
Presentation of the bottle
Displaying its delicate flavor beautifully, the Folle Blanche 2002 is housed in a bottle using swirl font, with soft mint green and cream labeling. Fine illustrations of the Folle Blanche grape offer a simple representation of the blend's delicate aroma. Housed in a display box with its style matching the bottle, it’s a fine display of a rare selection.
How to enjoy
Due to the rarity of the blend, it is best enjoyed neat to allow its delicate essence space to embody. Its sweetness makes it a perfect post-dinner tipple.
