Ferrand 10 Generations Grande Champagne Cognac
A fitting tribute to each generation and savoir-faire of this Cognac house, the Ferrand 10 Generations Cognac is a premium blend from the Premier Cru, the Grande Champagne. Arriving in an intricate traditional decanter illustrated with their family tree, it is a wonderful collector’s edition. Each of the ten generations of Cognac masters have added a unique twist to the knowledge of the vine and distillation; transposing their own character and graft into the precious nectar.
Created using Ugni Blanc grapes grown in the Grande Champagne, its finesse comes as no surprise. The optimal maritime climate combined with chalky soil and limestone means that the light, floral nature of eaux-de-vie is highly desirable in a Cognac.
Distilled slowly on the lees, the eaux-de-vie are aged in French oak casks, with 20% of the spirit in Sauternes barrels. Mademoiselle Henriette was the last direct descendant of such precious lineage, and she was indeed the guardian of its heritage. She is the inspiration for this fine 10 Generations blend.
Fresh flavors and aromas, a decadent Cognac.
10 Generations Cognac Presentation Box and Bottle
The bottle and box are intricate and unique; you will adore the golden family tree that winds around the box and traditional decanter. It is bottled at 46% ABV per 50cl decanter. A true collector’s item.
How to serve the 10 Generations Cognac
Serve with cocktails or for sipping.
Sweet fruity toffee on the nose with citrus, apples and a touch of licquorice. More apples on the palate. Tangy, sweet and lightly sour. The caramel comes through shortly after with a little bit of heat and a coconut spike. The warmth builds on the finish with cinnamon sugar, clove and little spikes...
Soft and Sweet.
This is the cognac that made me fall in love cognacs. While it is a VSOP it rivals many XOs. This is just a lovely cognac that can be enjoyed nightly and won't break the bank. Those that have tried it with me are always surprised at how good it is for something that is not extremely old. While...
Great Desert Cognac
This is a great sweet Cognac that might go well with desserts or soft cheeses. Nice notes of honey, caramel, and dried apricot with a nice finish with 20% of the Cognac aged in Sauternes barrels. A little expensive but worth it.
A pleasant cognac
This cognac must breathe for a long time. Then aromas of pear and winter spices unfold, later, in the almost empty glass, you clearly notice the note from the oak barrel. The taste is characterised by orange and other fruits. A pleasant finish.
Pretty smooth and sweet
The nose isn't that great but this cognac is very smooth, very sweet on the palate. The bottle design and packaging is amazing! Be aware it's only half a litre and not 0.7 or 0.75 litre. So it's not as cheap as you may think.. Solid product by Ferrand!
