Description

Cognac Legend 1863: Homage to the House of Hardy

The Hardy Legend 1863 Cognac pays homage to the House of Hardy's humble roots and acts as a tribute to the world of Cognac itself. A beautiful blend of Borderies, Fins Bois and Petite Champagne, it celebrates Hardy's unique style and finesse for flavor.

Founded in 1863 (as the name suggests), the House of Hardy has made a name for itself with its audacious and recognizable style, both in their presentation and on the palate. Hardy Cognacs tend to be refined, round and offer an intense and distinguished bouquet, meaning any drinker can identify the flavors they produce.

Described by the house as the "Haute Couture" of Cognac, the vintage celebrates the legend that is Anthony Hardy (later Antoine Hardy), who established the estate 5 generations ago. It boasts a delicate and well-defined flavor profile of citrus, coffee and vanilla with an exceptionally long finish.

Containing eaux-de-vie of between 2 and 12 years made from exclusively Ugni Blanc grapes, the Legend 1863 has been left to age in Limousin oak barrels and reduced over a four-stage process to produce an elegant experience on both palate and nose.

Awards:

This particular Cognac tribute to Hardy’s craftsmanship earned a prestigious score of 94/100 at the 2017 Ultimate Spirits Challenge in New York.

How to Enjoy:

This beautiful Cognac can be enjoyed neat, over ice or equally as a spirit base in a cocktail. It works wonders in a classic Sidecar!

  1. Combine 2 fl. oz of Legend 1863 with 0.75 fl. oz of orange liqueur and 0.5 fl. oz of freshly squeezed lemon juice.
  2. Shake well with ice before training into a chilled martini or coupe glass.
  3. Garnish with lemon zest, twisting it above the glass to allow the pores to release an extra citrusy aroma.
Presentation of the Bottle:

This beautifully designed bottle is bold in its design, featuring the famous Hardy cockerel, symbol of both the estate and France, it boasts wonderfully deep purple detailing on both bottle and box. The box has an elaborate feather-like design in complementary pink and cream hughs, legendary housing for a legendary bottle.

About Hardy Cognac

With a history dating back to 1863, Cognac Hardy is well known for quality cognacs and traditional production methods. Passed down throughout the generations, this family house of cognac, which can be recognized by its rooster logo, was one of the very first to embrace the spoils of a worldwide distribution network. Thanks to the love of an entrepreneurial Englishman for the French Charentaise countryside, Cognac Hardy boasts a 150 year history of providing a range of cognacs to the four corners of the globe.
