There's an almost perfect alliance between fruit, spice, and oak, with a pronounced rancio character. The fruit notes—spiced orange peel, persimmon, and quince paste—are vivid and expressive. A lifted spice note enhances the aromatic profile, adding finesse and layers of nuance to an already complex nose.
Palate: A complete Cognac: we are wanting for nothing. It is uber complex and balanced, with fruit, wood, and spice sharing the stage without elbowing the other. The mature Grande Champagne fruits—orange, apricot jam, quince paste, and persimmon—shine through in seemingly perfect harmony. Rich yet elegant. A sophisticated sip.
Finish: Long, the finish settles on dank rancio Grande Champagne fruit and spice. Gentle fade away absent any edges.
