Very unique tasting to me. Not sure what I pick up on nose but it is pleasant. Very mild initial palette. Almost watery with a what is missing taste but within seconds the flavor hits. Good spice and nice finish. Definitely has lemon acidic aftertaste which makes up for the initial splash on the tongue mild hit.
I really like this cognac. Surprised me at first since I have mostly had Hennessy and Remy XO cognacs. Definitely a pear nose. Flavor is different than the two I mentioned. A little more wood and I think roasted pear flavor. Nice finish making me want to have just a little more. Audry will be continually on my buy list.
I love this Cognac. Very pleasant nose - I detect bitter orange and definitely liquorish. Very nice and not too spicy palette. My favorite with this Cognac is the finish last almost forever. It is so nice you can taste it for almost 10 minutes. Just need another sip.......
Really Good Value
The ABK6 VS is really fruity, both on the nose and palate. There's some honey and vanilla sweetness to it, but the main focus seems to be stone fruits and pears. Good acidity, makes you want to keep sipping. Also, there's a wonderful jasmine and orange blossom note that develops over some time.
A Winner For Sure
Such a lovely nose on this Cognac. You name it, it's there. Barrel spices, flowers, fruits, nuts, even some green tea. The palate is also very good with clove and ginger up front, then followed by dried fruits and citrus peel. There's a lot going on in this bottle for a VSOP. Lovely!
A Solid VS
This is priced great for the quality. Lots of fruit on the nose (apple, honeydew, candied orange) and that classic Fin Bois grape juice/skin flavor. There are very subtle floral notes in this VS, but for the most part it's focused on the fruits and honey/vanilla type flavors. It's a really great example of what a VS should be.
The Door to a New World
This is my first order and I am personally satisfied with it.
My preferred lingering taste was reflected in the two cognacs I received.
I'm looking forward to seeing what more arrives in the future.
Concentrated, rich, robust. A serious expression that has lovely fruit intensity, rancio, dried apricots and pears, chocolate and orange peel. Cask Strength but the intensity of flavours carry the alcohol well through the palate which is smooth and moorish. Certainly a great spirit, well defined and at such a small bottling is an seriously good value as well.
Excellent Armagnac from a small producer
Excellent Armagnac from a small boutique producer. Not easy to find online, I am glad to see this product available on CE. Tasted in France during a trip to Gascony, we enjoyed the complexity and evolution of this Armagnac. Good price as well considerinig its over 55 years old. The packaging makes it a perfect gift.
