Lapostolle XO Pisco is a distinctive spirit from Lapostolle, created to honor Jean Baptiste Lapostolle, founder of the House of Marnier-Lapostolle over 180 years ago. This Pisco is known for embodying the character of Cognac, the intricate nature of Gin, and the adaptability of Vodka.
Produced in Chile's Limari and Elqui Valleys, this Pisco utilizes Muscat of Alexandria and Pink Muscat grapes. These grapes are vinified, distilled, and aged using specific techniques inspired by Cognac production. Lapostolle employs a state-of-the-art Alembic Still imported from Cognac for optimal distillation, adapting Cognac methods to preserve the Muscat aromas. The Pisco undergoes a six-year aging period in medium toast French oak barrels, some new and some previously used for Cognac, providing layers of complexity without overpowering the delicate aromatics.
This non-vintage expression is presented in a 750 ml bottle, with an alcohol by volume of 40%.
