Apraksts
Martell V.S. Fine Cognac Older Bottling
Martell V.S. Fine Cognac Older Bottling represents an expression from one of the oldest Cognac houses, Martell, established in 1715 by Jean Martell. The house has maintained a tradition of crafting Cognacs that are recognized for their smooth and elegant style. This "Fine Older Bottling" offers a glimpse into the brand's enduring approach to its Very Special category, first introduced over 150 years ago.
The character of Martell Cognacs is shaped by its origins in the Cognac region of France. Martell notably uses eaux-de-vie sourced from various crus, with a particular emphasis on Borderies, known for producing spirits with floral and smooth qualities. The primary grape variety used is Ugni Blanc. A distinctive element of Martell's production is the distillation of clear wines, free from sediments, in traditional copper pot stills. The resulting eaux-de-vie are then aged in fine-grained Tronçais oak barrels, which contribute delicate and balanced aromas to the final blend.
This Martell V.S. Fine Cognac Older Bottling is a non-vintage expression, presented in a 750ml bottle. As a V.S. (Very Special) Cognac, the eaux-de-vie in the blend are aged for a minimum of two years in oak casks. It typically features an alcohol by volume (ABV) of 40%.
How to drink
Martell V.S. Fine Cognac is versatile for enjoyment. It can be appreciated neat to experience its characteristics directly, or served over ice for a slightly mellowed profile. It also functions well as a base for various long drinks and cocktails, adding its smooth and fruity elements to mixed preparations.
