Remi Landier is a family-operated Cognac house with roots tracing back to 1890, when Julien Girard, grandfather of Remi Landier, planted the first vines in Cors. The Remi Landier Cognac brand was formally launched in 1973 by Rémi Landier and his son Jean-Yves. Today, the fifth generation, Géraldine Landier, continues to guide the enterprise. This Cognac originates from the Fins Bois cru, situated on the south-facing slopes of the Charentais region. The unique "groie" soils of this area are known for producing eaux-de-vie that are fine, floral, and distinctly fruity. The primary grape variety used is Ugni Blanc, ideal for distillation due to its acidity and aromatic yield. The eaux-de-vie undergo Charentais double distillation in traditional copper pot stills before being aged for an extended period in French oak barrels. The term "Tres Vieux" indicates a lengthy maturation, contributing to the development of smooth, rich, and concentrated spirits.
