This is the first time I taste this cognac. Usually I am a great fan of mature Bons Bois, I therefore look forward to taste this, even though it is a bit young. After enjoying the first two bottles, I had to reorder another two…. Just really enjoyable. At a high 80s or low 90s recommendation, I can’t wait to taste a high 90s!

I would just like to echo other reviews here. This Cognac is quite good, with just enough sweetness. Spice is there, but not overwhelming. Always a pleasure to discover hidden gems from small producers!

Full bodied and with great nose! Dried fruit with raisins, figs and dades, honey and wood. Stays in your mouth for a long time! Will need to get another bottle soon.

This is my second bottle and it was even more enjoyable than the first. Lovely dark color, sweet but not overly so. Dried fruit abound, dates and figs, also honey and spice. I was new to Bon Bois cognac, but not any more. A very well made, great value cognac.

Nice dark color. A bit sweet on the nose, but not overly sweet. Tastes a bit older than 16 years. Nice woody/honey flavors. A hint of saltyness in the after taste. Definitly worth a try!

I have benchmarked this cognac with the Château Montifaud XO, the Ordonneau Tres Vieille Reserve Borderies. My ranking is Ordonneau 94points, Montifaud 93 points and the Choloux 91points.
