Nose: woody with fresh and powerful flavors of a walk in the forest. This fir tree liqueur with forest aromas evokes that of a pine sap candy: soft, vegetal and with a sweet finesse.

Palate: As an aperitif, cocktail or digestive, this alcoholic beverage with Alpine fir will remind you of a forest smell similar to that of the cedar of the larches.

Description

The chlorophyll of the spruce buds and young shoots colors in the light, giving the Sapinette a beautiful amber color tending to dark green. In La Clusaz, the majority of the trees are spruces. It is a type of fir tree specific to the region, which is why Distillerie des Aravis picks the buds themselves to bring out the flavors in the bottle. These trees are often used as Christmas trees because they are popular, fragrant and durable. The buds and prickly needles of pine trees have been used in traditional medicine for centuries and are still used today in herbal remedies for coughs and persistent colds.
