Description
Grand Marnier Cuvée Louis Alexandre Liqueur Cognac
This special edition from the producer of Grand Marnier was created in honor of the founder of the House of Marnier Lapostolle. Grand Marnier Cuvée Louis Alexandre Liqueur Cognac is an exclusive blend of fine old eaux-de-vie from the region's best production areas, combined with the essence of wild exotic oranges. With 82% VSOP Cognac and 18% orange liqueur in the blend, this is a drier expression that fully expresses the quality of the Cognac it has been made with.
The House of Marnier Lapostolle is still in the hands of the family that founded it, and today headed by the sixth generation of liqueur producers, Jacques Marnier Lapostolle. Holding true to the traditions of those before him, Jacques focuses on creating products of quality and authenticity, with high-quality ingredients and careful blending. Synonymous with luxury and style, for nearly two centuries Grand Marnier has been as popular in royal palaces and stately homes as it is in cocktail bars and restaurants - there’s simply nothing that compares.

Exquisite
Prior to this bottle, I have only had the "usual" Grand Marnier one finds in the liquor stores in the US, I believe that is the Cordon Rouge. This Louis Alexander is only related to the Cordon Rouge by name. To compare the two, the Cordon Rouge is less flavorful and tastes like one is drinking syrup....
