Description
Pasquet "Trésors de Famille" Le Cognac de Jean-Michel L.95
The rich history of Jean-Michel Cognac, a brand that echoes generations of dedication. Jean-Michel and Annick, the power duo behind this renowned bottle, have shaped its legacy. Tracing back to the 19th century, the cognac-making tradition in the family's estate began with Jean-Michel's grandfather, Régis. Jean-Michel seamlessly stepped into this legacy around 1970, marking significant milestones with Annick, from their union to the birth of their first two children.
Annick, a dedicated elementary educator, ensured that while she shaped young minds, the vineyards thrived. Annually, teams from Spain and France converged to harvest their rich yield of grapes. Today, their vineyard stretches across 55 hectares in Grande and Petite Champagne and even touches Annick’s hometown of Archiac.
Their story is intertwined with the Pasquet family. The once teacher of the Pasquet children, Jean-Michel, witnessed his son Samuel's growth under the mentorship of Jean-Luc and Marie-Françoise. Their gratitude led to a nostalgic journey, tasting a 1914 cognac, crafted by Jean-Michel’s grandmother, Andréa. This experience inspired the revival of the heritage grape variety, Folle Blanche.
The couple expanded their family and legacy with two more daughters. Their commitment to producing top-notch eaux-de-vie was evident in how they reared their four children. Jean-Michel, in describing their dedication, poetically captured: "Cognac grows like a child: we care for the vines for nine months full of hopeful anticipation, then the character of the wine with its body and aromas promise a future eau-de-vie. Cognac is finally enters the world in the sultry heat and calm of the distillery. Day by day, lovingly, we raise it with all the possible advantages we can give: an old-stone cellar as shelter, a new wooden cask as a cradle, attentive observation, and a great deal of patience, so that its unique personality, rooted in its terroir, is revealed."
Today, Samuel spearheads the family vineyards and the dual-still distillery. The tradition remains intact, with 395 bespoke bottles crafted on July 11, 2023, underscoring their commitment to exclusivity and quality. Dive into the Jean-Michel Cognac experience, where every sip narrates a rich history and unmatched passion.

"Trésors de Famille" Le Cognac de Jean-Michel L.95 Grande Champagne
Tasted as part of the Tasting Set No.1: Deep amber with golden reflexes. Intense nose on dried oranges, orange peels, fine spices (nutmeg, fresh grounded pepper), mint and notes of warm pastry. The palate is fullbodied and mouthfilling on sweet, baked bananas glaced with honey in a lively combination...
About Pasquet Cognac
Certified organic Cognac house Pasquet perfectly strikes the balance between the warmth of family tradition and innovative savoir-faire. In order to revive a plot of vines during the 1990s, the Pasquet family reached deep into their ancestral history to rediscover its organic farming methods. It was here that they found a beautiful equilibrium not only in the ecosystem of their vines, but also in the Cognacs themselves. Since being awarded ‘Agriculture Biologique’ status in 1998, they haven’t looked back, continuing to craft small-batch Cognacs that epitomize natural beauty and balance. With versatile ranges such as ‘L’Organic’ and ‘Esprit de la Famille,’ the Pasquet family ensures that every step of production respects the environment, resulting in a very special collection of Cognacs.
