Description

Mauxion Bons Bois 1975 Cognac

Mauxion Bons Bois 1975 is a rare and limited-edition Cognac, crafted with exceptional care and expertise. Produced in the Bons Bois terroir, this vintage Cognac reflects the rich heritage of the Mauxion family, whose history in Cognac production dates back to 1753. With nearly 300 years of experience, Mauxion Sélection has perfected the art of distillation, blending tradition with meticulous aging techniques.

Distilled using small 7-hectoliter Charentais stills and aged in clay cellars, this Cognac has developed a deep and layered profile. The nose opens with dried fruits, toasted almonds, and delicate oak, while the palate delivers a full-bodied experience with spices, caramelized nuts, and subtle rancio notes. The finish is long and refined, leaving traces of dark chocolate and leather for an unforgettable tasting experience.

Presentation of the bottle

This exclusive vintage Cognac is presented in a classic yet refined bottle, emphasizing its authenticity and rarity. The minimalist label highlights its artisanal nature, making it a perfect addition to any collector’s selection.

How to drink

Best enjoyed neat, allowing time for the aromas to fully unfold in a tulip glass. A few moments of aeration will enhance its complexity. It pairs beautifully with dark chocolate, aged cheeses, or a fine cigar for an elevated tasting experience.

About Mauxion Selection Cognac

The origin of the Mauxion family dates back to 1575 when Pierre Mauxion was born in the village of Houlette. Today the estate is still home to the Mauxion family after thirteen generations. Antoine Mauxion was the first of the family to produce eaux-de-vie, back in 1743, and since then ten generations have followed in his footsteps. Today the house of Mauxion Selection continues to embrace original traditions with regards to caring for the vineyard and producing high class, quality eaux-de-vie.

Uniquely, Mauxion Selection offers a range of single cru expressions, available a range of sizes. All cognacs produced by Mauxion Selection come from the 6 prestigious terroirs of Grande Champagne, Petite Champagne, Borderies, Fins Bois, Bons Bois and Bois Ordinaires. To preserve the flavor of their eaux-de-vie, Mauxion Selection Cognac is bottled at cask strength without any blending or reduction; allowing the eaux-de-vie to develop with exceptional complexity and depth. Whilst the attentive selection process may mean that quantity is limited, it ensures a Cognac of unrivalled quality, every time.

Visit Mauxion Sélection Cognac: The House of Mauxion Selection would be delighted to welcome you in a discovery of their vineyards and in tasting their products. Be sure to contact them directly to arrange a time in advance of your arrival.
