Description

Malternative Belgium Pineau des Charentes No. 2 Raffaud

Embark on a journey to the heart of cognac production in Borderies, the smallest of the 6 crus, where you'll find the hidden gem of Saint-Sulpice-de-Cognac. This rustic commune boasts 4,000 hectares of vineyards, producing a rare and precious 5% of the world's cognac. Step inside the gates of the Raffaud family's domain, "La Maison Rouge," surrounded by its own vineyards, and enter a world where the family breathes cognac. Michel and Annie may have retired, but their legacy continues, crafting exceptional young eau-de-vie sold only to the big brands, never under the name "Raffaud."

Experience the rarest of finds - a 66-year-old barrel-bottled cognac and Pineau des Charentes, oozing with character. In a small chais with only 15 cognac barrels, this spirit has matured to perfection in a 150-liter cask, producing just 112 bottles at natural cask strength, proving that sometimes less truly is more.

Savor the complexity and refinement of a Pineau des Charentes over 50 years old, a rarity unlike any other.

Serve it at room temperature for the ultimate experience and store it for up to 6 months once opened. Cheers to this one-of-a-kind, rich and sophisticated spirit!
