Description

Limited Edition Pays Tribute to 90 Years of Larsen Cognac

Larsen 90th Anniversary Tribute to Jens Reidar Limited Edition is the creaton of Master Blender Robert Andrieux. Inspired by the young Jens Reidar Larsen - the founder of Larsen Cognac - it's one of two expressions that have been produced to celebrate the 90th anniversary of this foward-thinking Cognac house. This Cognac contains eaux-de-vie aged a minimum of two years, sourced from Fine Champagne. Inspired by the first editions of Larsen Cognac, Andrieux has sought to create a superior blend to honor nine decades of Cognac making. The satin-finished midnight blue bottle offers a contemporary vision, while still respecting the original designs favored by Jens Reidar Larsen.

In 1919, at the age of 24, Jens Reidar Larsen left his home town in Arctic Norway on a ship bound for America. The ship, however, turned out to require repairs and stopped for an extended period of time in Bordeaux. From here, Jens Reidar headed north to find temporary work, but instead found a local woman and decided to stay. He soon began to learn the art of making eaux-de-vie while working for the famed Cognac producer Prunier, and put this experience into practice by founding Larsen Cognac in 1926.

Focused on elegance, purity and drinkability, Jens Reidar’s style is as unique in Cognac today as it was nearly 100 years ago. The house of Larsen carries on the hard-working, adventurous spirit of its owner and still uses his secret blend to this day. Combining expressive flavors of marmalade, mature fruits and oak with a long, soaring finish, this 90th Anniversary release perfectly blends old-fashioned elegance with a light, modern touch.

Presentation of the bottle

One of two releases for Larsen’s 90th Anniversary, this Cognac is presented in a satin-finished deep blue bottle reminiscent of the brand’s original design. The result is a truly stunning conversation piece, perfect to display prominently in your drinks cabinet.

How to enjoy Larsen 90th Anniversary Cognac

We recommend savoring this rare edition neat in a tulip glass, or over a block of ice in a tumbler glass.

About Larsen Cognac

Known as ‘The Cognac of Vikings,’ Larsen Cognac has striven to produce and offer products of high quality at selected points of sale throughout the world.

A family run concern, the story of Cognac Larsen dates back to 1926 when Jens Reidar Larsen made the move from his home country of Norway to France. Seduced by the quality of the brandy that came from the town of Cognac, he devoted much time and effort to become a connoisseur in the subject, and naturally progressed to owning and running his own Cognac house.

Today, Larsen Cognacs are as well known for their luxury packaging as the quality of their eaux-de-vie, with Limoges Porcelain and Baccarat Crystal featuring strongly with many of their premium Cognacs.
