The Grosperrin N°76 Grande Champagne Cognac, bottled at 50.1% ABV, offers a unique and mature tasting experience from the heart of Grande Champagne. Sourced from a now-inactive vineyard in the hills of Marancheville, this Cognac captures the dedication of its former owner, a connoisseur with a deep passion for his craft. After his passing, the estate’s remaining stocks were released, allowing this remarkable Cognac to reach a broader audience.
The N°76 presents a rich amber hue, setting the stage for its deeply layered aromatic profile. On the nose, it opens with elegant aged balsamic notes, complemented by warm cinnamon, dried prunes, and a delicate touch of rosewood. The palate greets with a bold and dense flavor, offering an exquisite blend of creaminess and balance that lingers, leading to a slightly tannic but extraordinarily lengthy finish. This Cognac is a distinguished example of Grande Champagne’s elegance, with a depth that promises a memorable tasting journey.
The Grosperrin N°76 is presented in a classic and elegant bottle that reflects its refined character. Its design is simple yet distinguished, aligning perfectly with the quality and depth of the Cognac within.

This is cognac that comes with a clear recommendation from Guilhem Grosperrin. This is among his best recent products. This cognac is almost fifty years old. It has a bit dark golden color. It is not very distinct on the nose, and you can feel the strength. Orange peel is my first thought. It is...
The independent Cognac house of Grosperrin is a relatively new one in the region, having only been established in 1999 by its founder, Jean Grosperrin. Grosperrin is based in Saintes which sits between the terroirs of Fins Bois and Borderies and it is today run by Jean’s son, Guilhelm, who took over in 2004 at just 23 years old.
Guilhelm’s mission is to discover producers all across the region in order to create truly unique Cognacs from the six crus. This vision was made possible by the fantastic relationships Jean Grosperrin built with producers, and that Guilhelm has since built on and expanded. Today, Grosperrin works with over 150 Cognac producers, from which Guilhelm will meticulously select barrels to craft into exquisite end bottles.
