François Voyer Extra Christmas Cognac
The Francois Voyer Extra Christmas Cognac is an exclusive limited edition of 100 bottles, for Cognac Expert only. Offering infinite depth and aromatic complexity, this Extra Cognac is representative of an aged to perfection, exceptional quality Cognac - from the Premier Cru. Undergoing a lengthy maturation process, Francois Voyer Extra is made up of Ugni blanc eaux-de-vie that spent a grand total of 30 years in old oak casks. A Grande Champagne jewel that is sure to complete your festivities with its sensational flavors and unrivalled finesse.
The house of Voyer has been distilling and aging eaux-de-vie in oak barrels since the 1870s, for over five family generations. With a focus on the Grande Champagne cru, they work with numerous winegrowers in the area, as the Voyer estate itself is a small-scale producer with only 28 hectares of land. Dedicated to maintaining a sustainable agriculture approach to protect biodiversity and public health, Maison Francois Voyer was one of the first 20 domains to obtain the High Environmental Value (HEV) certification.
Presentation of the bottle
Showcasing the stunning mahogany color of the eaux-de-vie, Extra Cognac arrives in a classic, slim bottle with a festive air of elegance. It serves as the perfect addition to the dinner table this holiday season, or as a generous gift to someone special. The bottle is embellished with a subtly merry illustration, that allows this Cognac to stand stylishly on the spirit shelf all year round. The hand-written signature of the cellar-master himself completes the bottle design, and highlights the exclusivity of the Cognac with a personalised finishing touch.
How to enjoy
Francois Voyer Extra Cognac is best enjoyed neat or on the rocks. A well matured Cognac like this one, should be appreciated in its entirety, so it may be deemed a waste to mix it with other components of a cocktail for example. We recommend leaving this Extra Cognac to sit in a tulip glass for around 8-10 minutes before you begin the tasting. This allows the aromas to develop nicely. Drink it cold as a merry aperitif, or without ice, at room temperature following an indulgent Christmas meal.

enjoyable tipple
a clear honey amber eye. the nose opens up after sitting for a moment with hints of vanilla over the warming spice tones. There is an initial heat on the tongue, that rounds out and finishes strong. Definitely an enjoyable cognac to have after a nice dinner or just to help unwind after a stressful...
Extra tasty
Color: Chestnut On the nose: Fruity with a touch of earthiness. I can’t pinpoint it but I get a light and lasting baked note. Something like a pie with dark fruits. After that are more floral and fruits like apple juice, peach jam, apricot jam and plums. There’s a bit of spices like vanilla,...
Francois Voyer Extra Cognac Limited Christmas Edition
Eye: The Cognac pours a bright amber color, with some orange reflections. Gently coating the glass walls reveals many thick legs that slowly parade down the glass. While this is clearly no cask strength beast, it does seem to have an elevated viscosity. Nose: The nose takes some time to get going....
Christmas all year
This is a beautiful cognac from Voyer. It is very delicate on the nose with both fruity tones like orange peel and darker tones like cigar box etc. In the mouth it is quite tasty. But the body is somewhat short. Spices is what to taste the most. The after taste is nice, but lacks a bit of depth. I...
Excellent value for money!
You don't smell the 43% on the nose, warm fruity, but later on bit spicy (or more like pepper?). You can really taste the winter and Christmas in that Cognac, love it! Very long finish. A very well balanced Grand Champagne Cognac - get your hands on it as long as you can. It's a limited one and...
Great Cognac
Really lovely fruit notes greet the nose initially. As it opens, some leather and subtle spice appear, with everything being very well balanced. The palate delivers fruit, spice, and some mild oak and tannins in a lengthy finish! Very nice and well balanced! ...
Perfect Winter cognac
This is a very limited edition cognac but If you can get your hands on a bottle, you should without hesitation. It is a spicy, warm cognac with notes of leather, tobacco, cloves and dry fruit, a perfect winter cognac. On first look, you can see the nice light cooper color. On the nose you can easily...
A Christmas to remember
Fruity, woody, and peppery. It retains some of its youthful notes of spring flowers and fresh mint, beautifully complemented by oak, leather, and dried fruit, result of the long maturation. Youthfulness and maturity are perfectly balanced and in harmony. This Christmas Edition makes for a prefect...
Dry, Spicy, and Full of Charm
The nose is a delight. Lots going on. The first things that jump out are leather, tobacco, and fruitcake. There is certainly a good showing of rancio here. Jasmine and fruit blossoms are hiding softly underneath. This Cognac has a decent amount of fruit aroma's, as well. The palate mimics the nose...
