Famille Cabanne Lot 24 Grande Champagne Cognac (70cl Version)
Growth area & soil: Grande Champagne
Grande Champagne
Description
Grande Champagne Cognacs are said to have the aptitude for extremely long aging, but a century is really quite extraordinary. Introducing the Famille Cabanne Grande Champagne Lot 24 Cognac, a stunning centenarian Cognac whose alcoholic strength has reduced naturally down to 46.2% (the Cognac is still in barrel), and which was bottled and labeled by hand at the Cabanne estate without any chill-filtration to keep all of its aromas, flavors, and textures fully intact. It’s not every day we get to taste Cognacs of this age, but together with Famille Cabanne we’re thrilled to make this Cognac available in two formats - 20cl and 70cl - and to make it accessible to a maximum number of people. No superfluous packaging or extras, just pristine uber-mature Grande Champagne Cognac.
This Cognac, crafted exclusively from Ugni Blanc grapes, is a testament to the art of traditional Charente craftsmanship. Aged in a humid cellar along the Charente River, the spirit develops a distinctive character, rich and nuanced. The oak barrels, sourced from Seguin Moreau and Taransaud cooperages, feature a coarse grain and medium toast. These barrels contribute layers of complexity, enhancing the Cognac with notes of vanilla, toasted nuts, and subtle spices. The slow maturation process in a moist environment ensures a smooth and balanced flavor profile, making each sip a unique experience. Enjoy!

The palate is fullbodied and oily with lots of dried fruits (raisins, apricots, oranges, figs) and fine honey. The finish...
