Red bronze with copper highlights, darker than the listing image. The first nose is floral with complex notes, some citrus and after a few minutes a little spicy. Initially spicy, but opulent, smooth, complex, Grande Champagne worthy, this is why it’s the 1st Cru. Lengthy finish.

I didn't know what to expect. Found Maranchville XO to be a great deep color - almost mahogany. Smelled too alcoholish and when tasted there was too much alcohol flavor.

One of my favorite Cognacs so far. The nose is brilliant: buttery and complete in any way possible. This is a great taste experience for a beginner like me. I am looking forward to the moment I get to taste this special one again.

A nice solid XO to be sure. For my nose and palate, there was a touch too much oak, but fans of that style will absolutely love this Cognac. I tend to prefer Cognacs which are more fruit-focused, fresh, and dry. Still, solid XO.
